Many homes now have tankless hot water makers. These type of hot water heaters are known for leaking condensation and should be serviced yearly and flushed once a year per the manufactures instructions.

It's important that the home inspector you hire removes the cover to inspect for leaks and corrosion inside. I remove all covers and find fifty percent of them are leaking.
